Oakland County Kennel Club Objectives
The goals of the Oakland County Kennel Club are:
- To advance the principles and practices of pure bred dogs
- To promote dog shows, puppy matches, obedience, agility, and field trials
- To provide a training ground for individuals who plan to become AKC judges
- To promote social and recreational activities in connection with dog breeding and dog shows
- To foster cooperation between dog breeders and dog owners
- To facilitate the exchange of information among other dog clubs with similar interests
- To encourage and grant assistance to veterinary students who are residents of Oakland County
- To adhere to the standards of conduct and the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club
