Oakland County Kennel Club Objectives

The goals of the Oakland County Kennel Club are:
  • To advance the principles and practices of pure bred dogs
  • To promote dog shows, puppy matches, obedience, agility, and field trials
  • To provide a training ground for individuals who plan to become AKC judges
  • To promote social and recreational activities in connection with dog breeding and dog shows
  • To foster cooperation between dog breeders and dog owners
  • To facilitate the exchange of information among other dog clubs with similar interests
  • To encourage and grant assistance to veterinary students who are residents of Oakland County
  • To adhere to the standards of conduct and the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club
